Pulwama, Dec 26 (KNO): An abandoned building meant for a cement factory in Pampore’s Wuyan has become a safe habitat for wild animals, risking the lives of people in the area. The residents told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the factory has not been utilized for the last 15 years and it has become a safe shelter for wild animals. They said the authorities should utilize the site for some industry as the building serves no purpose right now. The wildlife department, it was learnt, has installed a cage in premises of the building, yielding nothing so far. Shabir Ahmad, a local, acknowledged the building has not been utilized saying it has turned into a ‘small jungle’ in the face of wild animals.
