Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNO): The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir on Saturday instructed all ARTOs in Kashmir to adopt uniformity in size and dimensions of tracks for conducting driving tests. RTO Kashmir, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said there has to be uniformity in the driving test tracks. Bukhari said during his visit to Budgam, he passed on instructions to all ARTOs of the Kashmir division to adhere to the uniform set standard size and dimensions of driving test tracks across all the districts of the valley. The ARTOs have also been instructed to explore the possibilities of the construction of ramps to include the ramp test in the driving test. According to the driving test format, motorcycles have to pass the “8” test, while for the LMVs “H” track test has to be cleared. For heavy vehicles, one has to clear through the pole test.
