After getting training for some days, Rani started to take samples and so far she has taken around 10-15 thousand samples in Ganderbal district. Rani said that while visiting the upper reaches of Ganderbal and educating people there about Covid-19 and Covid appropriate behaviour and taking samples are giving her peace of mind. "The blessings what I receive after taking samples of people means a lot to me," she said while adding that she is going to help the health department every time. Rani said that she is living as a guest in Ganderbal at residence of one of her colleague and had to take precautions while returning back from duty. Tabasum Ara while talking to KNO, said that since the vaccination started on January 16 this year, she has vaccinated over 7000 people at the district hospital Pulwama during door to door vaccination. “On a daily basis, I vaccinate over 100 persons now and motivate dozens of people to take the vaccine,” she said. "My family got involved in the virus but despite that I continued my work of vaccination and being part of the surveillance team." “Vaccinating people in times of pandemic is challenging as one has to go home in the evening and you don't want to become a Covid carrier for your family," she said.
