Bandipore receives National Award for e-Governance at Hyderabad | KNO

Bandipora, Jan 07 (KNO): North Kashmir's Bandipora district, on Friday receives National Award for e-Governance during 24th National conference on e-Governance held in Hyderabad,Telangana. The first of its kind award has been conferred for the innovative digital product “Panchayat Development Index ’’ launched by the District Administration. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the award was conferred to Dr Owais Ahmad,IAS, Deputy Commissioner Bandipore, Imtiyaz Ahmad Joint Director Planning Bandipore and Mala Ram DIO Bandipore by Hon'ble Union MOS in PMO , Dr Jitinder Singh , who was chief guest of the grandeur event. Meanwhile, Deputy commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad said that this is a huge success for our team of CPO, DIO and other people who worked dedicatedly for making this project successful. He said that Bandipora district has been awarded at 24th National Conference of e governance for its innovation of a portal called Panchayat development index. The award is a kind of appreciation for all the sectors of e-governance of all districts of Jammu and Kashmir. "With this award, the portal has got recognition at the national level. I hope that this will create more opportunities of development for the Bandipora district," He added. “The award goes to all our team members. Our core team members including CPO and DIO had an important role in developing this portal,” Owais said. "We hope that in future with our dedication the motive behind this portal will be completely fulfilled,” he said—(KNO)
