TOP STORIES Big Loss: Above 3000 Islamic books, seminary building gutted in Lolab fire incident | KNO Published 113 weeks ago on May 28, 2023 By Tasaduq Hussain Kupwara, May 27 (KNO): In a heart-wrenching incident, at least three thousand Islamic literature books at a religious seminary at Chandigam Sogam in north Kashmir's Kupwara district were gutted in a fire incident on Saturday morning. A seminary staffer informed the news—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the fire broke out early Saturday morning from the rooftop engulfing the top storey of the building. He said the structure suffered damage and many important books of Islamic literature were damaged. An official said apart from the firefighters from the concerned department, the army reached the spot to douse the flames. He said that their efforts were to get things under control and ensure there is no human loss.
