Srinagar, Aug 20 (KNO): Commuters in Srinagar are experiencing a tough time to cross from mandi stop to bus yard exit gate at Parimpora due to the frequent traffic jam on the road stretch.
Notably, the road witnesses rush of commuters from north Kashmir and outskirt parts of the Srinagar that leads towards the city centre Lal Chowk and downtown areas, has become a major bottleneck.
Many commuters, especially students, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that they face constant delays caused by passenger vehicles stopping to pick up passengers.
Bilal Ahmed, a commuter from Mirgund, mentioned his strategy to avoid the delays. “I travel by Tata Sumo to Fruit Mandi and then walk the remaining distance to avoid getting stuck in the traffic at Parimpora.”
The commuters, especially students have appealed the traffic police authorities and transport department to ensure smooth regulation of traffic from fruit Mandi to Parimpora road stretch so that they don't face any inconvenience—(KNO)
