Education Minister warns of strict action against schools demanding capitation fee | KNO

Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister, Sakina Masood (Itoo) Thursday said that the government will take strict action against private schools that are violating government norms. “Whosoever is facing the issue of admission and capitation charges from private schools must approach the concerned authorities with a proper proof and the government will ensure accountability and action against the institute,” she said. Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Itoo, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said they reversed the academic session and want a new academic session to commence soon so that winter vacation will be announced at an earliest. She said that if any private school is violating government norms with regard to regulation of fee, strict action will be taken against the institution. Earlier, the minister had said that the government has already notified norms and criteria regarding charging of tuition and other charges. She said that private schools in Jammu and Kashmir are being regulated by the government and those hiking fee in violation of norms will be taken to task. “If in case any private schools is working against the rules and norms framed by the government, the concerned authorities will accordingly examine and take action against those institutions,” Sakina had said—(KNO)
