Anantnag, Nov 23 (KNO): In the land of poets and storytellers, a new voice is making waves. Mutahir Showkat a young entrepreneur and author from Anantnag, Kashmir has released his second book, 'Nooruk Safar'. This emotional and thought-provoking novel tells the story of the challenges faced by Kashmiri youth today. It focuses on issues like mental health, addiction, and the cultural changes affecting young minds, while also offering a message of hope and healing. Mutahir, known for his contributions to the tech and crypto space as the founder of Clout Scoop and MutaVerse, is now turning his attention to writing as a way to connect with the youth. In Nooruk Safar, he tells the story of a young boy who starts his life with innocence and respect but slowly gets influenced by harmful friendships and relationships. What begins as an exciting journey leads him to drug addiction and heartbreak, separating him from his family and values. The story highlights how faith and self-realisation can bring a person back from such a dark place. Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mutahir said, “This is not a guide or lecture, it’s a story that many young people can relate to. In Kashmir, we are simple people, but the influence of the outside world is pulling our youth in the wrong direction. This book is my way of showing how important it is to make good choices and to value what we have.” He added, “Many young people today fall into habits and relationships that seem exciting at first but later bring regret and pain. I want my readers to know that no matter how lost they feel, faith and self-reflection can help them find peace again.” “This story isn’t just about the struggles of the youth,” Mutahir continued. “It also includes the silent struggles of every Kashmiri mother. This novel is my dedication to all the mothers who stay awake at night, praying and crying for their children’s better future. It reflects the deep emotional impact on parents when their sons or daughters stray onto the wrong path. The sacrifices, heartbreak, and unconditional love of mothers are central to this story. It’s a reminder of the pain families endure silently and the strength they show in hoping for their child’s redemption.” The book also includes verses from the Quran, which, according to Mutahir, add a spiritual touch to the story. “Writing this book was a journey for me as well. Including Quranic verses helped me feel a deep connection with the story. The response so far has been very positive, and I hope this book will inspire many young people to make better decisions in life,” he said. Mutahir’s first book, 'Shadows That Shape Us', also focused on personal growth and struggles. With 'Nooruk Safar', he continues to explore themes that are close to the hearts of Kashmiri youth, especially in addressing rising issues like depression and drug abuse. 'Nooruk Safar' is now available on platforms like Walmart, Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and it has already started receiving praise from readers. Mutahir expressed his gratitude for the support, saying, “I am overwhelmed by the love people are showing for this book. It motivates me to continue writing stories that can touch lives and bring positive change.”—(KNO)
