Srinagar, July 5 (KNO) : Senior BJP leader and DDC member for Khonmoh, Srinagar, Er Aijaz Hussain Friday conducted an extensive whirlwind tour of Khonmoh constituency including Balhama areas for the on spot inspection of material used in macdemisation process and the progress on various developmental projects. Er Aijaz thanked Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and allied departments for approving the vital roads ahead of the sacred month of Muharram in Khonmoh and Balhama areas. The roads used for Alam processions in Balhama areas have been macdemised, the step which has been widely appreciated by the people of Balhama. Er Aijaz said that all vital road links will be macdemised in the days ahead as the projects worth Rs 35 Cr in Lal Chowk Assembly constituency are also in queue and will be tendered in coming days . He said the work for these projects is going on a fast track basis for the benefit of people. The BJP leader also visited the famous Bala Devi Temple at Balhama and stated that the temple is set for renovation and its retaining walls will be repaired to give the temple a new face lift. He said KPs are already visiting the temple in large numbers and more are expected to visit the place after its renovation. He said under NABARD, many important projects have been approved for Lal Chowk Assembly constituency that include upgradation/improvement of Kalalbal Lasjan Road will come up at the cost of Rs 10 Crore. Similarly, upgradation of Soiteng Bund road up to Gandbal at Rs 845 lakhs. More projects have been approved that include upgradation of road at Astaan Coloney Khonmoh and allied links Rs 3 Crore and also the construction of road from GT Khonmoh to Masjid Aisha (RA) via Shabas Colony for an amount of 3.25 crores. The DDC member Er Aijaz expressed his gratitude to DC Srinagar and allied departments for taking pains and approving these projects for the Lal Chowk constituency for the larger interests of general public in district Srinagar—(KNO)
