Poonch, Oct 16 (KNO): Firing is going on from both sides at Bhata-Dhurian forest area of Mendhar in Poonch district, officials said Saturday. “Contact with the group was established on Thursday after two soldiers were killed. After a brief lull, fresh contact was established with the militants again on Friday after which intermittent exchange of fire is going on from both sides,” the official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). On Saturday, the official said that heavy exchange of fire was reported from both sides in the area. Meanwhile, scores of vehicles continue to remain stranded on the Jammu-Poonch-Rajouri highway from Bhimber Gali to Surankote in the wake of ongoing encounter, the officials said—(KNO)
