GoI extends one-year service for IB Director | KNO

New Delhi, May 20 (KNO): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a one-year extension in service for IPS officer Tapan Kumar Deka, as Director of the Intelligence Bureau. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the extension will be effective beyond June 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever comes first. This extension is granted in relaxation of the provisions of FR 56 (d) and Rule 16 (1A) of the All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958. The announcement was made in a notification from the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, signed by Manisha Saxena, Secretary Appointments Committee of the Cabinet & Establishment Officer—(KNO)
