Govt seeks clarification from DSEK for allowing continuation of teaching staff at directorate | KNO

Srinagar, Apr 13 (KNO): The government on Wednesday asked the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to clarify as to why the teaching staff was allowed to continue working at the directorate. It also said that there were clear instructions not to allow any teaching staff to be posted at DSEK. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Principal Secretary, School Education Department, B K Singh in an order has said, “Director School Education Kashmir is requested to clarify as to why the aforesaid teaching staff has been allowed to continue in the directorate despite issuance of directions in this regard.” In the meantime, Singh in the order relieved 18 teaching and four non-teaching staff members from the Directorate of School Education Kashmir. “In the interest of Administration, 18 teaching and four non-teaching staff members who are still continuing at the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect,” Singh said. He further directed them to join at their respective places of posting prior to their attachment in the Directorate. Earlier the General Administration Department also relieved four employees of the School Education Department. GAD in that order said that the four employees shall be deemed to have been relieved. It has also ordered the officials to report at their respective Directorates of School Education—(KNO)
