Gurez, Jun 28 (KNO): Residents of Kuragbal village of Gurez on Tuesday complained about the lack of basic facilities at the concerned health centre.
They told news agency—Kashmir News observer (KNO), that the health centre was inadequately staffed due to which patient care has been badly hit. “There are no medicines available in the health centre," they said, adding that the health authorities have left them on God's mercy.
Attendants said that a single nursing ordinary is posted here which speaks volumes about the functioning of heath centre in the remote village. "We are always treated unfairly. Older people are more worried about medical facilities here as hospitals are far away from here," Kabir Ahmad a local said.
He said that the health centre is running in a wooden hut for years now and the concerned authorities are not paying any heed towards it.
The locals have requested the Block medical officer Gurez to personally look into the matter and redress their grievance—(KNO)
