Srinagar, Apr 15 (KNO): After the incessant rainfall inundated the roads across the city and other adjacent areas, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat conducted a tour of several areas here Monday evening and assured that the roads will be cleared by tomorrow positively. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DC Srinagar, along with officials from the Mechanical Division and other allied departments, toured several Srinagar areas this evening at around 10:00 PM. After visiting the roads, DC Srinagar stated that men and machinery have been deployed on the ground, and smooth vehicular movement will be ensured tomorrow. “The roads will be cleared as the men and machinery have been deployed across Srinagar. We are expecting to complete the task of clearing the roads by tomorrow,” he said, adding that all roads, especially those in the busiest places, will be dewatered by tomorrow. DC told KNO that schools will remain open tomorrow and that no decision has been taken to keep the schools shut in view of the inclement weather. Pertinently, Kashmir parts received incessant rainfall today, bringing down the mercury in the Valley. The weatherman, however, has predicted gradual improvement in the weather conditions from tonight—(KNO)
