Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNO): In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, the Jammu & Kashmir Cable Car Corporation (JKCCC) announced on Wednesday that it will issue full refunds for all unused ("No Show") and unconsumed tickets for April 22 and 23. Despite heightened security alerts and unease across Kashmir’s tourism circuit following the attack, a significant number of visitors still opted to experience the famed Gulmarg Gondola. Official figures accessed by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reveal that 7,299 tourists rode the Gondola on Wednesday—4,982 on Phase I and 2,317 on Phase II. A JKCCC official told KNO that the refund initiative was a management decision to support affected tourists. "Those unable to board on the specified dates will receive a 100% refund automatically. No action is required from the tourists—the system will identify and process all eligible bookings without the need for ticket submissions," the official said—(KNO)
