Srinagar, Feb 20 (KNO): As an outstanding showcase of talent, the Jammu and Kashmir ‘Pencak Silat’ Central Sports Team left a lasting impression at the 7th Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2023-24 and 1st All India Pencak Silat Championship 2023-24, held in Nended, Maharashtra.
According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Coach Rayees Ahmed led the team with distinction, securing a Bronze medal in the Federation Cup and a Silver in the All India Championship.
“The players displayed remarkable prowess, with Akhil Sharma clinching a Silver medal and Vishal Manyal, Arvinder Singh, and Asrar Malik each earning Bronze medals, as their performances captivated the audience,” reveals the details.
Sharing his sentiments, Rayees told KNO that they trained tirelessly for this moment, and every member of the team poured their heart and soul into their performances. “It's a testament to their dedication and the spirit of Pencak Silat. We're proud of what we've achieved, and this is just the beginning,” he said.
