Srinagar, May 14 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Engineering Services Forum (JKESF) , amalgam of all JKPSC qualified Engineers in J&K, has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for promoting ten Executive Engineers to the post of Superintending Engineers in the Public Works (R&B) Department. Terming the move as a significant step toward the long-overdue career progression of engineers, the Forum as per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) emphasized the need for continued efforts to fill all vacant posts in R&B— including Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers — to strengthen departmental efficiency and ensure effective public service delivery. The Forum also urged the Government to expedite the process of regularisation of engineers at all levels. Addressing the long-standing issue of in-charge stagnation is crucial for maintaining morale and ensuring a stable and motivated workforce. JKESF extended its sincere thanks to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister (Minister Incharge PWD R&B), and the Secretary, PWD (R&B) Department, for their leadership and commitment to addressing the concerns of the engineering fraternity—(KNO)
