Pulwama, Sep 13 (KNO): Residents of the Ladhoo area of Awantipora sub-division in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district demand macadmisation of the vital Lethpora-Ladhoo road.
They said the road has not been macadamised for many years due to which its condition has turned from bad to worse.
Gowhar Ahmad, a local, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the part of the road from Ladhoo to Khrew has been macadamised while around three kilometres from Lethpora-Ladhoo have been left out.
This vital road from Lethpora-Ladhoo is giving tough time to commuters, he said, adding that the government must look into the issue as the road is connecting with the Khrew industrial area.
The locals said the road has developed potholes at various spots. “We were expecting that the road would be macadamised this year but it was left unattended, which shows an indifferent attitude of the administration towards the people of this area,” they said.
Gowhar said despite bringing the issue to the notice of authorities several times, nothing has been done on the ground—(KNO)
