Srinagar, Oct 22 (KNO): The scenic streets of Old Town Baramulla in north Kashmir were abuzz with excitement on Tuesday as the crew of an upcoming web series centred on the Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) filmed scenes in the historic town. Curious onlookers gathered in the streets and peered through windows, eager to catch a glimpse of the action. Director Abhijeet hailed the locals for their warmth and support during the shoot. Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Abhijeet said the series aims to capture the journey of the football club while showcasing the vibrant culture and breathtaking beauty of Kashmir. He thanked the residents of Baramulla for their cooperation, which has made the filming experience smooth and enjoyable. “The people here are incredibly supportive, and this place is full of love. We previously filmed in Srinagar, and Baramulla has been just as welcoming,” he said. The director said outsiders need not worry about visiting Kashmir. “Kashmir and its people are filled with love and support. We encourage others to visit and see the reality for themselves. This region has so much to offer and deserves to be seen by the world,” he said. Abhijeet invited more filmmakers and tourists to explore the valley. Producer Kelian also praised the hospitality of the Kashmiri people. “It’s been wonderful being here. The locals have welcomed our entire crew with open arms. We’re excited to create a show that not only tells the story of Real Kashmir FC but also highlights Kashmir as a beautiful and safe destination,” he remarked. “We hope that once the series is released, more people will be inspired to visit the valley.” Local residents expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing shoot. Many welcomed the entry of Bollywood and other filmmakers into the region, seeing it as an opportunity for economic growth. “It’s great to see the film industry coming to Baramulla. This should happen more often, as it creates job opportunities for our youth,” said a local. “The influx of film crews could provide much-needed employment for our talented but unemployed youngsters.” Notably, this is not Baramulla’s first encounter with Bollywood filmmakers. Earlier, star Emraan Hashmi filmed portions of his movie “Ground Zero” in the district—(KNO)
