TOP STORIES LSD Outbreak: Govt bans import, inter-district movement of bovines in J&K | KNO Published 141 weeks ago on September 22, 2022 By News Desk Srinagar, Sept 22 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday imposed complete ban on import of bovine animals from neighboring states and inter-district movement of bovines within the UT for any purpose, till October 25. According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the ban been imposed in the wake of spread of Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) in J&K and some states of the country. As per the order the ban has been imposed under Section 10 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases Act, 2009.
