Nowgam Bypass road stretch irk locals, demand early macadamization | KNO

Srinagar, May 04 (KNO): Residents of Khanday Colony in Nowgam Srinagar raised their voices against the dilapidated condition of the Bypass road and demanded immediate action from the authorities to repair the road. The inhabitants stated that the dilapidated condition of the road is not only pushing the commuters to the wall, but also jeopardizing their lives as well. Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the locals said the stretch of road, a vital artery connecting various neighborhoods, has become a hazard-ridden obstacle course, with potholes, uneven surfaces. Local resident, Mohammad Suhail, voiced the collective anger, stating, “We want the authorities to prioritize our safety and fix this road before it's too late.” Sahil, another resident, emphasized the detrimental impact on local businesses. “Our community is suffering. The deteriorating road conditions deter customers and hinder economic activity. It's imperative that the authorities take immediate steps to address this crisis,” said Sahil—(KNO)
