New Delhi, May 01 (KNO): Stating that perpetrators of April 22 Pahalgam terror attack will be given exemplary punishment, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that this is PM Narendra Modi’s India and no one will be spared. Speaking at an event in Assam, Shah, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “Terrorists should not think they have won the war. This fight is not over yet. Chun chun ke badla lenge (we will take revenge on all terrorists).” He added that if anyone believes that carrying out a cowardly act is a sign of victory, they should remember that this is Narendra Modi’s India and no one will be spared. “Today, they (terrorists) should not think they have won by taking the lives of our innocent citizens,” Shah said. “This is not the end of the battle. I want to make it clear to those who spread terror, every terrorist involved will be identified and given a befitting reply. The country will not forget, and we will respond to each act with determination.” Pertinently, on April 22, terrorists shot dead 26 people, mostly tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam in South Kashmir. It marked one of the deadliest terror attacks at civilians in the region in recent years. Referring to the incident, Shah said, “I pay tributes to those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam terror attack. This is not just the sorrow of their families, but a shared grief felt by the entire nation.” He said India maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and will not allow it to grow in any part of the country. “We will exact retribution for every loss. Terrorism will be uprooted from its roots. The global community stands with India in this battle,” Shah said, as per KNO. Earlier in the day, the Home Minister also addressed a gathering in New Delhi during an event to unveil the statue of Bodofa Upendranath Brahma, a prominent figure from Assam known for his contributions to the Bodo community. At the event, Shah reiterated the government’s position on national security and said that, “Whether it is left-wing extremism or Kashmir, if anyone does anything, no one will be spared.” He said it is the government’s resolve to eliminate terrorism from every inch of the country and that this goal will be achieved. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have responded firmly to every challenge, whether it was in the North East, the strongholds of Left Wing Extremism, or the persistent threat of terrorism in Kashmir,” Shah said—(KNO)
