Srinagar, Jun 14 (KNO): In a remarkable achievement, a youth from South Kashmir's Pulwama district, who was working as a painter, has qualified NEET examinations with flying colours. Umar Ahmad Ganie, belonging to a financially weak family, who has never enrolled himself in any coaching centre, has secured 601 points in NEET examination. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Umar Ahmad Ganie said that due to poverty, he wasn't in a position to get enrolled in any coaching centre in 11th, 12th standard or for NEET preparation. “To help my family, I was working as a painter during the day time and used to study during morning and evening times. Wherever I was facing difficulty, I used to get help from YouTube,” he said. “I have seen such poverty in my life that I used to tell parents that give me pen and notebook only, I will definitely give you a good result and they have seen it today,” he said. Umar said that it is poverty that forced him to work as a painter and work hard to prepare for NEET and qualify it. He said that all those students, who want to qualify any exam but face financial challenges, should opt for self study, which is a better option for them. “I think every goal is achievable, provided you are confident and have the will to do anything,” he said. “My aim in life is now to give my parents a happy life and serve the humanity in whatever way I can,” he added—(KNO)
