Sgr Mayor unfurls tricolor at SMC | KNO

Srinagar, Jan 26 (KNO): The Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu Thursday unfurled the National Flag on 74th Reublic Day at SMC Central Office in Srinagar. The flag-unfurling ceremony was held early in the morning despite the inclement weather conditions, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads. The ceremony was attended by Commissioner Athar Amir Khan, Chairman Health, and Sanitation Arif Majeed Pampori, Corporators and other senior officials and staff members from the corporation. Mattu extended a heart-warming greeting to the whole nation on the 74th Republic Day. In his address to the participants, he said, "our country is bestowed with wonderful culture and heritage and we all should take pride in this vibrant and diverse nation". He added, this occasion provides us an ample opportunity to celebrate the golden moments of the National Republic Day. "Today it should be our endeavor to pledge our commitment to the common good and the welfare of the nation.” Concluding his lucid and vibrant address on the occasion, the Mayor lauded the efforts of SMC officials and front-line warriors for facilitating the smooth and hassles events on the occasion of the Republic Day in Srinagar—(KNO)
