Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNO): A youth belonging to South Kashmir's Anantnag has become an internet sensation as his funny videos are winning hearts of people on social media. Umer Aziz Mir (23) a resident of Mirabad Shangus in Anantnag who is B.A student at GDC Uttersoo Anantnag is now one of the leading funny content creators in Kashmir. Umer Aziz while talking with news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that since his childhood he was fond of funny things and five years before he along with his five friends created a Facebook page where they used to entertain people. “Four year ago a friend from Srinagar told me to create YouTube and we named it ‘Kashmiri Rounders’ and since then we have made around 300 videos,” Mir said. “Our every video has a message and our main motive remains to keep our society away from social evils and keep our budding generation far from drugs and suicides,” he said. Mir said that youth in Kashmir are very much talented but lack of proper infrastructure and platform restricts them to showcase their talent in public. “However, the best option to show talent at present is social media,” he said. Umer who is also dealing with saffron business said that he has 100 percent support of his family as they know hundreds of people on daily basis call them to make news videos which they later show to ailing patients besides people suffering from anxiety and depression. “We are very happy that we are able to make people laugh and our videos are proving beneficial for people in anxiety and depression and making ailing patients happy,” he said.
