Sopore, Nov 15 (KNO): Unit holders at the Industrial Estate Sopore on Saturday called on MLA Irshad Rasool Kar and sought immediate action on long pending issues that affect daily operations at the estate.
The unit holders, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) flagged problems in water supply, electricity, the need for a working dispensary and the demand for an ATM inside the estate.
The MLA, while speaking to reporters, said he has asked the concerned departments for reports on the recently installed lights and the status of water supply. He promised timely intervention on all raised points.
Meanwhile, Estates President, Javaid Bhat said the interaction with the MLA Kar was productive. “The estate is among the most active in the valley. It provides livelihood to more than 400 people. Almost 200 of them are workers from outside the region”, Bhat said, adding this scale of livelihood makes the estate a crucial economic hub for the area.
He urged the MLA to ensure that the government delivers stable electricity and upgrades the transformer without delay.
President Bhat said that the unit operations depend on uninterrupted power and added that the livelihood of hundreds of workers rests on it—(KNO)
