Srinagar, Sep 09 (KNO): Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) G P Singh on Wednesday called for close coordination among security agencies to respond effectively to emerging challenges. According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Singh concluded his 3-day Kashmir visit by chairing a high-level security meeting here. Top commanders and other officers of the paramilitary force participated in the meeting. It focused on the prevailing security scenario, law and order and the overall security environment, besides reviewing the CRPF's deployment and operational preparedness, an official said. He said the senior officers briefed Singh on the situation in different parts of Kashmir and apprised him of issues concerning security, deployment and maintenance of law and order. “The CRPF chief directed commanders to maintain a close watch on developments on the ground and ensure that security arrangements remain responsive to the local situation,” the official said, adding, “He (The CRPF chief) also emphasised the need for coordination and cooperation among different security agencies to prevent attempts to disturb peace and public order.” Singh asked the officers to discharge their duties professionally and ensure a safe and peaceful environment for people in the Valley. He further stressed the importance of a prompt and effective response to any unusual situation and directed commanders to keep security measures dynamic in line with the prevailing circumstances.
