Jammu, Mar 02 (KNO): The students of Government Women's College Parade Jammu Tuesday staged a protest and demand an online examination. The protesting students said that the teachers have provided the study material online only and it's not feasible for them to appear in the offline examination Talking to reporters the protesting students, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that the Parade college Jammu is autonomous and has nothing to do with the University of Jammu but still the college authorities are making them suffer and not considering the demand for online exams for three semesters among the six. "Teachers have taught us online and provided the study material there only. There were various problems online as well as students suffered due to 2G internet," they said. She said that the examination of 1st, 3rd, and 5th-semester should be conducted online only and not in offline mode. "Our precious time is being wasted and there is nothing concrete from the college authorities so far. If something was done all students would have started to prepare for online exams," another protesting student said. Meanwhile, the officials who reached the spot pacified the protesting students and assured them that the demands will be raised with concerned quarters. The Parade college students over the past couple of days held protests outside the premises blocking the road demanding online examination. It may be recalled that all the educational institutions across Jammu and Kashmir were shut for nearly a year last March after a strict nationwide lockdown was enforced to contain the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic—(KNO)
