COVID: Students of Govt College for Women MA road protest, demand fee concession

Srinagar, Sep 12 (KNO): Scores of students of third semester from Government College for women MA road on Saturday staged a protest at press colony here and demanded concession in college fee. The protesting students as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that they are not able to deposit college fees amid the prevalant situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic. "Our parents have not earned even a single penny since March this year due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, it is not possible for us to pay a huge amount at this juncture," they said. “We demand authorities to help the students belonging to poor section of the society at this time and give concession to us,” the protesting students said. They urged the varasity authorities to look into the matter to ensure that their studies will not get affected—(KNO)
