TRENDING Jammu University declared as micro-containment zone after 43 tested COVID-19 positive | KNO Published 221 weeks ago on April 10, 2021 By News Desk Jammu, Apr 10 (KNO): The authorities on Saturday declared Jammu university and area around it ad micro-containment zone after 43 persons were found Covid-19 positive in the varsity during a random sampling. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that at least 43 persons found Covid-19 positive and most of them are from girls hostel of the varsity. They said that a team of health and medical education department carried out random sampling in Jammu University today during which 43 were found Covid-19 positive. They said that District Magistrate Jammu, Anshul Garg issued an order declaring the area in and around Jammu University as micro-containment zone. The order issued under section 144, stated that the area in and around Jammu University falling under Gandhi Nagar police station shall remain under restrictions of micro-containment with strict lockdown and no inward and outward movement of what so ever kind except for essential needs.
