Srinagar, Dec 16 (KNO): An engineer from North Kashmir’s Baramulla has started to host a talk show on different social media platforms to promote the hidden talent of Kashmir youth, who had been struggling to showcase their flair. Owais Ahmad Khan, the young engineer, a resident of Limber village in Boniyar belt of Baramulla district after pursuing diploma in electrical engineering from GGS College Chandigarh and B. Tech from Adesh Institute of technology Chandigarh has so far hosted a dozen talk shows and promoted people associated with different fields. Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Owais Khan, said that due to unemployment in Kashmir, the budding youth are getting very few opportunities to prove their mettle as “we don't even have jobs in private sectors here.” “Despite being of engineering background, I started my talk show namely Talkies Buzz in Kashmir on YouTube and Instagram to let the world know how talented Kashmiri people are these youth lack platform and I am trying to help them,” Khan said. Talkies Buzz is a Kashmir based Talk Show where Khan promotes budding and talented stars of Kashmir besides giving them platform to showcase their talent so that they would get attention of authorities besides that desired persons would hire them. “We shouldn't waste our time by remaining only after government jobs only rather we must try to start something ourselves so that we can earn something for ourselves besides providing opportunity to others,” he said, adding that, “we shouldn't hesitate at any stage and if we know we have capacity and potential in any field, we must go for it.” Khan said that it is very true that youth in Kashmir lack proper infrastructure and platform, but at present the best platform is social media where “we can easily promote ourselves and everybody will know about our talent.” Talkies buzz is a free talent showcase platform, where everybody is welcome to come and show besides inform others about their talent, he said—(KNO)
