Sopore, Oct 29 (KNO): A pathology lab and super specialty clinic was on Thursday inaugurated in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Dr. Tanveer Hassan Banday and his wife Dr Sadaf Bashir have established a pathology lab and super specialty clinic in Sopore, which as inaugurated today by the Additional deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, Parvaiz Sajad. Various civil organization, health workers, doctors and other people of Sopore town were also present on the occasion.
The owners have come up with Dexa Scan (Dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry) or bone densitometry, which is an enhanced form of x-ray technology that is used to measure bone density, which gives result only in six minutes.
Pertinently, the Dexa scan machine is only available at few places across the Valley.
The lab namely Ahmed's pathology lab and super specialty clinic is a fully automated central lab, which is set to provide heave of relief among the local residents in Sopore and other adjoining areas.
Dr. Banday told KNO that the aim to establish this automated lab is to serve people hailing from north Kashmir, who had to visit a number of times to the City in order to get their medical procedure done. “The lab has finally solved all the problems of the local residents here,” he added.
He further said that the automated lab is specialized for Dexa Scan, digital X-ray with DR technology, Echo hotler, 12 channel ECG, FNAC, Biopsy, Colour Doppler, PFT and others—(KNO)
